Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026 · Effective: June 2026

The short version: Use PILPEL to write, not to harm. Your content is yours — we only need a technical license to host and display it. Pay for what you use. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice.

PILPEL is operated by Lavi TNA Consulting and Entrepreneurship Ltd, a company registered in Israel. Legal business name: Lavi TNA Consulting and Entrepreneurship Ltd.

1. Who can use PILPEL

PILPEL is available to users aged 16 and older. Users aged 16–17 may use the free writing tool. Paid plans and publishing to the public feed are restricted to users aged 18 and older.

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the service.

2. Your content

Everything you write in PILPEL — your pitch bibles, one pagers, loglines, characters, and any other creative work — belongs entirely to you. PILPEL claims no editorial ownership or rights over your content.

To operate the service, you grant PILPEL a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, back up, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to provide the service to you. For content you choose to publish to the public feed, this license extends to displaying it to other PILPEL users.

This license does not grant PILPEL the right to sell, sublicense, or use your content for any purpose other than operating and improving the service.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. By using PILPEL, you confirm that your content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

3. AI and your content

We do not use your content to train AI models — not ours, not any third party's.

PILPEL uses the Anthropic API to power the Creative Council. When you interact with the Council, your prompts are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. They may retain prompts for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes per their own policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PILPEL to:

  • Upload content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. For serious violations (illegal content, security attacks, harassment), suspension may be immediate and without prior notice.

For other violations, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to respond before taking action. You may appeal a suspension by contacting us at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com.

Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your content before it is deleted.

6. Subscription and payment

PILPEL offers a free tier (Dreamer) and paid plans (Creator at $29/month or $299/year, Showrunner at $55/month or $599/year). Founding member pricing may apply during early access — see the pricing page for current rates.

Auto-renewal: Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). You will receive a reminder email before your annual plan renews. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

Founding member rate: Members who subscribe during the early access period lock in their rate for as long as their subscription remains continuously active. A lapse in payment or voluntary cancellation ends the founding rate.

Cancellation: Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then.

Refund policy: You may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase — no questions asked. To request a refund, contact us at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com. Refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record for all transactions. We do not store payment card details.

7. The PILPEL stamp and blockchain timestamp

When your work is exported as a PDF or published to the PILPEL feed, it carries the PILPEL stamp — a mark indicating the document was created on PILPEL, associated with your account, and bearing the date the document was submitted.

When you export a PDF, PILPEL automatically submits a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your document to the OpenTimestamps network, which anchors it to the Bitcoin blockchain. This creates a tamper-evident, independently verifiable record that proves your document existed in its current form at a specific point in time.

The blockchain timestamp is not a legal copyright registration and does not replace formal copyright protection (such as registration with the US Copyright Office or the WGA registry). However, it constitutes strong cryptographic evidence of the date of creation, which may be relevant in disputes over originality or priority of creative work.

The stamp and timestamp apply to One Pagers and Pitch Bibles exported from PILPEL. PILPEL makes no legal guarantees regarding the evidentiary value of the timestamp in any specific jurisdiction or legal proceeding.

8. Peer review and the public feed

When you publish work to the public feed or submit it for peer review, you grant other PILPEL users a limited, non-commercial right to read your work for the purposes of providing feedback within the platform. This does not transfer any ownership rights and does not constitute a waiver of copyright.

Note: copyright law protects the specific expression in your work, not ideas or story concepts. Sharing your work on PILPEL does not protect underlying ideas.

You can remove your work from the feed or peer review at any time. Removal does not affect copies already viewed.

9. Copyright infringement (DMCA / DSA)

PILPEL respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on PILPEL infringes your copyright, please send a notice to pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the infringing content and its location on PILPEL, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, and (5) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.

We will respond to valid notices promptly. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PILPEL harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service in violation of these terms, (b) content you upload that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, or (c) your violation of any applicable law.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep PILPEL available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update or modify features with reasonable notice.

We reserve the right to update these terms. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email or platform announcement. For minor changes (clarifications, typos), updates take effect immediately. Continued use after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel your subscription and receive a pro-rated credit for unused paid time, applied to any future subscription.

12. Limitation of liability

PILPEL is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PILPEL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or creative work, arising from your use of the platform.

These limitations do not apply to liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to PILPEL in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. However, if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence, which cannot be excluded by this agreement.

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

14. General

Severability: If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Entire agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PILPEL regarding the service.

Assignment: We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided your rights are not materially affected. We will notify you of any such transfer. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
