PILPEL ("we," "us," "our") is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are an Israeli company. For questions about your data, contact us at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com.
If you are located in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (your national Data Protection Authority).
Account data (name, email): Collected to create and manage your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Content you write (pitch bibles, one pagers, project data): Stored so you can access and edit your work. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Usage data (features used, login frequency): Collected to understand how to improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Payment data: We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.
We store your content to provide the service. Authorized PILPEL personnel may access content only for the following limited purposes: resolving a security incident, responding to a legal order, debugging a technical problem you have reported, or preventing abuse of the platform. We do not read your work for business, editorial, or competitive purposes.
PILPEL uses the Anthropic API to power the Creative Council. When you send a prompt, it is transmitted to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models under their API usage policy. Anthropic may retain prompts for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes, per their policy.
We do not use your writing to train any AI model of our own, and we do not sell or license your content to any AI company.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Your writing is yours. We never read, share, sell, or use your content to train AI models. The only AI that reads your content is the one responding to your request in real time — and it does not retain it.
We share your data only with the services necessary to operate PILPEL. All sub-processors are contractually bound to protect your data:
We do not share your data with any other third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
Some of our sub-processors (Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, Vercel) process data in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection for transfers of personal data from the EU/EEA to the US, where applicable.
PILPEL uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. These are strictly necessary for the service to function.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required.
Account data and content: Retained for as long as your account is active.
Usage logs: Retained for up to 12 months.
Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting law.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records).
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR Article 33.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
PILPEL is available to users aged 16 and older. Users aged 16–17 may use the free writing tool. Paid plans and publishing to the public feed are restricted to users aged 18 and older.
If you are aware of a user under 16 using PILPEL, please contact us at pilpel.it.now.@gmail.com.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users as described in section 10.
We will notify you by email or platform notice of significant changes at least 14 days before they take effect. For material changes, we may require your explicit re-consent. Minor updates (typos, clarifications) take effect immediately.
